Since 2017, Michelle Franklin has been serving as your working property appraiser, marking a significant milestone as the first female Property Appraiser elected in Saint Lucie County history.
Michelle’s banking experience and time working in an independent appraisal firm served her well in 2004 when she was offered a position in the Property Appraiser’s Customer Service Department. Michelle is a Certified Florida Appraiser and was hands-on in helping the office obtain a Certificate of Excellence in Assessment Administration after a rigorous external evaluation. Under Michelle’s leadership, the office was named one of the Best Places to Work in Saint Lucie County and one of Florida’s Top 100 Companies. The office also earned an Outstanding Jurisdiction award from the International Association of Assessing Officers in 2021.
